Build to Plans can check with your local planning authority whether you need building regulations approval and we can handle the whole submission and approval process.

Building Regulations are designed to ensure safe building practices and good workmanship. The standards cover many aspects of the building including foundations, wall and roof structures, floor construction, drainage, plumbing and heating, electrical works, thermal insulation, glazing and ventilation, staircases, disabled access etc..

We can provide all the building regulations drawings and specifications required to obtain Building Control approval. We will act as your agent and submit the application to Building Control and liaise with them to gain approval.

BUILDING REGULATIONS
The Full Plans Application Process

1.   Submit drawings, application forms and Plan fee to Building Control.

2.   Acknowledgement received from Building Control.

3.  Building Control will check details of the application and request additional information if required.

4.   Upon receipt of the required information approval will be issued.

5.   Submit notification to Building Control of the proposed commencement date for the works together with further fee to cover site inspections.

6.   Building Control will carry out site inspections during the course of the works at set stages which will be detailed on the approval document.

7.   Completion Certificate will be issued by Control following their Final Inspection.
